Thank you all for a thoroughly enjoyable stay on this second night. The hotel was in the central setting on the pub called the outgate. What's more, it was really close to most food establishments, a port and Wray castle.

We stayed in this lovely B&B with a bigger group of friends for a few days. the location was perfect, close to the charming village of Hawkshead, where we caught a bus to explore the beautiful lakes. We also loved spending time in the nearby field owned by a local farmer who kindly let us stay after all rooms in the inn were fully booked. the rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we needed. the staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. the food was delicious, and the bar had a great selection of drinks.
The exterior of the building could use some updates, but it was not a big deal considering all the positive aspects.

We decided to stay at a cozy, family, run pub in the middle of nowhere between Ambleside and Hawkshead , exactly the area we wanted to be in. the room was spotless, cosy, and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. the staff were warm, friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. the food was excellent, with a varied menu and delicious specials. the pub had a lovely log fire and a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing stay.
The Wi, Fi connection was unreliable and often weak.

The breakfast offered a basic selection of cereal, toast, and a cooked meal. The cooked meal had a diverse range of options and was well-prepared. It lacked fruit, which some may prefer for breakfast.

Spent the Xmas day with family at a charming rural inn. The decor may seem a bit outdated, but the friendly and warm atmosphere made us feel right at home. The food was exceptional and exceeded all our expectations. We had the pleasure of enjoying local delicacies, as well as traditional Xmas dishes, all served with great care and attention. the inn's location is perfect for anyone wanting to experience the breathtaking countryside during winter.
One downside is that the inn could benefit from some renovations, especially the bathrooms. Another issue was the lack of parking space, which made it difficult to find a suitable spot without blocking others.
